Throughout this week all of our classes have been taking part in various eco related workshops.
To kick off the week we started with a whole school Eco Assembly.
All Key Stage 2 children watched a live streamed WWF lesson about our oceans and plastic pollution.
On Wednesday, for World Ocean Day, our Year 6 children competed a variety of activities to raise awareness and understanding of how we are damaging our oceans and how we can reduce plastic.
In Year 1 we have have discussed how we can all do our bit to help to look after our planet, especially when it comes to reusing and recycling things as much as we can. We talked about the importance of never leaving rubbish around and why it it’s important to save electricity and energy whenever we can by switching things off when we aren’t using them and by choosing to walk or cycle to school when possible. We then designed our own Eco Superheroes which was lots of fun!
