Please see the documents below to find out how we will be approaching the teaching of PSHE (Personal and Social Health Education) and RSE (Relationship and Sex Education) within Year 3 here at Northern. It is quite detailed but only because we want to be very open with what your child is being taught and to ensure that as parents you have all the facts. By doing so we hope to maintain a good partnership and working relationship with you as parents to ensure that we are providing the best education for your child together. New RSE Letter to Parents (1)

Everyone at Northern is an explorer at school. We explore and celebrate our local environment, the diversity of the people within our community and others and are aware of the rights we have as children. Through lessons, assemblies, clubs and discussions we are able to express our own opinions and celebrate those of others.

Being a Northern Explorer means continuing these experiences and learning journeys outside of the school environment.

Take a look at our homework which is aimed at all children across school and as the booklet says, there is no right or wrong way to complete it.

We would love you to share your home learning with us throughout the year and then we can share pictures on here, in assembly and in class. 

This homework will be supplemented by specific maths and English related homework.
